Services
I like to think of WebDO as a web support agency offering a variety of services. All have one common aim – to promote your business or organisation utilising technology in a personal, friendly, jargon-free way.
On the whole web-designers tend to offer web design alone and refer you to a different company for your hosting. Hosting companies tend to offer you hosting and no design service other than cheap and nasty looking templates they expect you to customise yourself.
The web is a fantastic resource and tool that can help your business grow, but if you’re never first in the queue for the latest tech gadgets it can be quite daunting and can become a vast money and resource eating monster. If you’re unsure where to start or what you need you could end up wasting all your money. Web designers and web hosts will happily take your money and leave you to it whereas I offer a personal service. I’ll get to know you and your business so I can assure you get a website that’s effective and professional.
I think I’m quite unique in the fact that I offer web design and hosting services with a personal, friendly, jargon-free approach. To find out more about my services carry on reading or feel free to get in touch via the contact page or by filling out the form at the bottom of the page.
So what’s a self-managed website?
Basically I’ll design and build you a website and when you’re happy with the design I’ll hand over the keys to allow you to edit pages, change images and create or delete new pages through an online control panel. There’s no need to worry about breaking your website because all the design and code will be closed off so you can only control content.
If you’re concerned that it all sounds too technical then don’t worry. If you can use a word processing package then you can update your website. There’s a simple control panel that has a built in ‘What You See Is What You Get’ interface. Just type your text, insert any images then just press update and you’re done.
In your first year the costs work out like this £199 for your website setup and hosting for twelve months. In your second and subsequent years you only pay for hosting at £75.00* .
*You will only pay for hosting in year 2 onwards unless you decide to have a website redesign which will be at extra cost. Also if you opt for the fully-managed package charges will be applicable. At present the charge for hosting a self-managed website for 12 months is £75.00. I will advise you in advance of any price increase.
If this still sounds too complicated for you or you just want someone else to do this for you then why not try my fully-managed service.
So what’s a fully-managed website?
Basically I’ll design and build you a website and when you’re happy with the design I’ll upload your website to the Internet and point your domain name towards it.
You then decide how often you wish to update the content of your website. The charges for 6 content updates per year are either £100 yearly or £10 per month. If you think you might want to update your content more often then for £170 per year or £17 per month you can have 12 updates. If you want even more content updates then click here to contact me. Just email your text and images telling me where they should go on your website and I’ll do the rest.
In your first year the costs work out like this – £199.00 for your website setup and hosting for twelve months + your content update costs. In your second and subsequent years you pay for hosting at £75.00* + your content update costs.

Blogs and Blog Skinning or Theme Styling.
If you’re a professional consultant it’s essential you have a blog. You can extend your reach and signup new members to your mailing list via your blog. You may already have your own self-hosted blog but is it very personal to you or is it just a standard template? Blog skinning is a process where I take your current blog and overlay a new set of clothes to give it a fresh new feel.
You need to stand out and whilst content is king, a nicely styled and designed blog that reflects your personality and subject can make the difference for potential readers and subscribers.
Blogs are great for developing your online presence and are more suited to consultants and experts who are selling their skills and knowledge rather than products. However the great thing about blog skinning is that if you decide you want to convert your blog to a website then it’s a relatively simple task and I can usually maintain the look and style of your blog.
Blog skins usually cost £130 depending on complexity and the platform you’re currently using.
If you want a new set of clothes (not the Emperor’s) for your blog then fill out the form at the bottom of the page and I’ll get right back to you.
WordPress Website in a day training.
I also offer one day WordPress website building schools. The training is classroom based with no more than 10 delegates at a time. You’ll learn how to build blogs and websites and how to utilise the latest techniques to make developing easy. All you need to bring is your WiFi enabled laptop and a willingness to learn. Throughout the day you’ll be learning using your own website hosting account and domain name (which is provided by WebDO.co.uk) so at the end of the day you’ll have a working website and the knowledge and more importantly confidence to build on your new skills to develop your own website. You might even feel confident enough to start developing websites for your own customers. All delegates receive a free domain name and 12 months website hosting. Delegates also receive £20 off any future website hosting packages they order through WebDO.co.uk. The cost is just £150 (Dont forget this includes 12 months website hosting, a free domain name and £20 off future hosting packages ordered from WebDO.co.uk).
1-2-1 or on-site WordPress Website in a day training.
Fancy the idea of learning how to build a WordPress website in a day but want your training on a 1-2-1 basis. If you want me to come to your business to train your staff then that’s no problem either, though I do ask that there are no more than 10 delegates. The daily rate for this training is £400 plus travelling expenses. I’m based in the midlands so I’ll keep it to a minimum (I don’t do first-class travel).
